Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor Overnight will be responsible for the management, training, and development of maintenance personnel in the Production/Processing areas. This role will ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhere to all safety policies and procedures, and provide support to the production team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train maintenance personnel to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assume personal responsibility for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to the production team in the Production/Processing areas.
  • Create and manage work orders and PMs to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Install new equipment and troubleshoot problems with existing equipment.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for employees and recognize and take steps to resolve operating problems.
  • Cooperate with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records, including timecards, downtime records, and absentee records.
  • Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Encourage suggestions from employees to improve production, quality, safety, and control costs.
  • Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two years of mechanical and electrical maintenance and supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An Associate's degree (AA) or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics or a related field.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, preventative maintenance, plant operations, and government safety regulations.
  • Ability to supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Ability to recognize problem situations and take appropriate steps to resolve.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations.
