We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Technician/Medical Assistant to join our team at Evolution Research Group. As a PRN Nights employee, you will play a critical role in supporting the conduct of clinical trials by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our research site.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Safety and Status Checks: Perform regular safety and status checks on clinical trial subjects as determined by physician orders.
- Perform Research Protocol Procedures: Conduct vital signs, blood collection and processing, ECGs, and point of care laboratory tests as delegated.
- Lab Procedures: Prepare specimen tubes and labels, collect blood specimens, operate centrifuges, store and ship lab specimens, and maintain accountability of specimens.
- Environmental Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and clinical trial subjects.
- Subject Engagement: Engage clinical trial subjects in group activities or one-on-one activities while housed on the unit.
- Logistics Support: Ensure subjects have linens, toiletry items, and other sundries needed while housed on the unit.
- Meal and Snack Service: Serve meals and provide snacks to clinical trial subjects while they are housed on the unit.
- Compliance and Training: Study, learn, and comply with ERG site standard operating procedures, policies, practices, and regulations.
- Education and Experience: High school degree or equivalent, one year of clinical experience preferred, CPR certification required, phlebotomy certification (national) preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications: Ability to work independently and as a team player, ability to organize and prioritize within a changing environment, use safety/universal precautions to protect self, subjects, and staff, proficient in venipuncture, centrifugation, sample storage, and performing electrocardiograms.
