RadNet is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our radiology team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Accurately record patient medical history and MRI safety information in patient charts and electronic medical records.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient communication during exams.
- Collaborate with MRI technologists to prepare, position, and monitor patients in the MRI suite.
- Ensure timely and efficient stock and maintenance of supplies for assigned areas.
- Comply with all HIPAA guidelines, safety protocols, and laboratory/clinical environment guidelines.
- Organize and assist patient flow throughout the facility.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of imaging center staff.
- Support technologists with procedures, including coil setup, maintenance, and clean-up of the MRI suite.
- Identify and communicate important issues or problems to MRI technologists and management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant MRI control room space.
- Attend and participate in meetings, seminars, and training as required.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and practices.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical setting.
- Proficient medical terminology knowledge.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent public relations, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and handle multiple assignments.
- BLS/CPR Certification.
