Key Responsibilities
- Engage in proactive outreach to attract new clients while maintaining relationships with current customers across various sectors including food service, processing, and hospitality.
- Continuously communicate with clients to ensure they receive exceptional service and to identify any additional needs or concerns.
- Conduct meetings with previously canceled accounts to understand their reasons for leaving and explore opportunities for re-engagement.
- Schedule appointments and conduct cold calls in designated areas as directed by management.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and all levels of company personnel.
- May require interaction with local regulatory inspectors regarding compliance with industry standards.
- Spend 75-90% of your workday in the field visiting clients, depending on daily assignments.
- Prepare and maintain customer setup documentation and assist in entering new client information into the company’s systems.
- Provide regular reports to management regarding client interactions and service delivery.
- Follow up on service interruptions to determine reasons for non-collection and assess the need for re-routing.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality, which are crucial for operational efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the effective functioning of the business.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the food service or related industries.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel locally up to 90% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Constantly (over 2/3 of the time):
- Travel to client locations and navigate through facilities such as kitchens and grease collection areas.
- Lift and move materials or documents weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Utilize office equipment including computers, calculators, and printers.
- Review and organize data, ensuring accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in person, over the phone, and via email.
Frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time):
- Move throughout the office to access files and equipment.
- Remain stationary for up to 50% of the time.
