Job Summary:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Iowa offices, ensuring a well-functioning and compliant operational environment. This includes managing human resources, safety and security, supply chain, facilities, and information technology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Human Resources: Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related matters, including recruitment, benefits, payroll, and employee relations.
  • Safety and Security: Implement and maintain all office safety and security documentation, organize all-staff meetings, and coordinate emergency evacuation exercises.
  • Supply Chain: Manage procurement, asset and inventory management, in-kind donations tracking, and vehicle fleet management.
  • Facilities Management: Manage office leases, coordinate repairs and improvements, and lead the procurement of office equipment.
  • Information Technology: Serve as the primary focal point for IT and communications infrastructure, hardware, and software matters.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, non-profit management, or a related field.
  • At least five years of related professional experience, preferably in a non-profit or social service environment.
  • Experience supervising staff and promoting an organizational culture that reflects IRC's core values.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to navigate Microsoft office systems.
  • Ability to work with deadlines and lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Environment:

This position requires in-person office presence with a standard workday. The successful candidate will be able to safely lift office supplies and equipment and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
