Responsibilities- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas, including apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices
- Sweep, dust, dust mop, and wet mop all floors and stairways; spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and runners
- Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures and facilities; stock dispensers as necessary
- Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize, and hand shampoo furniture; dust desk and floor lamp, clean and polish glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills
- Scrub bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills
- Maintain equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition
- Collect trash and refuse from work areas and place in designated pick-up areas
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- Maintain commercial laundry in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are kept stored and locked when not in use
- Ensure any cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are always kept out of the way, not blocking exits, and in compliance with fire codes
- Report any needed repairs and supply and equipment needs to the Lead Housekeeper
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
