Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at Unique Industries. As a key member of our Single Web Printing Department, you will be responsible for operating complex machinery, ensuring high-quality production, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Run the slitting machine, Mark Andy printing press, and other equipment to produce high-quality products.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other operators to maintain a smooth production workflow, assist with basic operator functions, and support packers with labeling and packaging.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge, and assist in the development of new procedures and checklists.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 6 months prior experience as a packer 2, or 1 year of plant employment (internal), or 1-3 years of manufacturing experience (external).
  • Skills: Ability to pass a Color Acuity Test, understand basic written and oral instructions, perform basic math, and communicate effectively with management and coworkers.
