Geology/Mining Engineer Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Geology/Mining Engineer Intern to join our team at Heidelberg Materials in Montoursville, PA for the summer of 2025.

As a Geology/Mining Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in plant processes, work on real-world projects, and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support plant operations in achieving production goals while partnering with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees.
  • Complete technical projects to gain an understanding of the operations of a quarry or aggregate site.
  • Learn the mission of the production, maintenance, and quality departments and different job functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Mining Engineering or Geology.
  • Commitment and engagement through a high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company.
  • Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
