Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities- Data Collection
Obtain thorough medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and review relevant laboratory or radiologic studies to assess patients' medical status. - Assessment
Formulate accurate diagnoses based on collected data and consider differential diagnoses when necessary. - Treatment Planning
Develop and implement treatment plans that align with collaborating physicians' preferences, including medication orders and follow-up provisions. - Procedural Considerations
Perform procedures within your scope of expertise and in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies. - Patient Education and Counseling
Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, disease prevention, and health promotion. - Documentation
Record examination data, diagnostic impressions, and other patient care activities in medical records. - Other Tasks
Follow Universal Precautions, conduct telephonic and virtual encounters, manage in-basket tasks, and respond to emergency situations. - Value Statements
Maintain patient-centered relationships, lead healthcare teams, promote safety and confidentiality, and collaborate with colleagues. - Professional Expectations
Participate in continuing education, maintain licensure and certification, and evaluate personal performance to meet regional expectations.
- A Masters Degree in Nursing for APNs or a Bachelors Degree required for PAs.
- Graduation from an accredited graduate nursing program or a program accredited by ARC-PA.
- Physician Assistant License (Colorado) or Advanced Practice Nurse Registration (Colorado).
- BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
- Orthopedic experience or certified subspecialized training in Orthopedics.
