Job Summary

Flex is a leading diversified manufacturing partner that helps market-leading brands design, build, and deliver innovative products that improve the world. We're looking for a skilled Process Engineering Technician to join our team in Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical tests and experiments for process engineering.
  • Monitor, audit, and provide guidance to line operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Process test runs and prepare records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.
  • Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
  • Line change configuration.
  • Perform and assist with corrective maintenance and yield improvement activities.
  • Follows escalation procedures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams interfacing with different departments like Operations, Quality, etc.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in a related field, technical training, or equivalent education and training.
  • 3+ years of related experience supporting automated production equipment.
  • Experience in technical writing to support change control and quality/compliance activities.
  • Setup, operation, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • Electro-Mechanical Knowledge, Electrical schematics, Mechanical drawing, and dimensional annotation comprehension.
  • Ability to understand and interface with various Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to work with complex industrial mechanical assemblies in an automated environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network and serial communications in equipment.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (Solar, Aerospace, or Automotive), with compliance to FDA, NHTSA, FTC, ISO, or other regulatory requirements.
