Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

At SCL Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and psychological needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in clinical team conferences
  • Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines
  • Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification
  • Five years of licensed RN experience in an Emergency Department
Work Environment:

The Emergency Department is a dynamic 12-bed unit committed to providing top-tier emergency care to approximately 12,000 patients each year. Our team comprises three nurses, 1 CT/radiology tech, 1 lab tech, 1 patient registrar, and 1 physician per shift. We operate 24/7, with 12-hour shifts covering all hours.
