We are seeking a skilled professional to manage approximately 100 Linux servers that provide mission-critical services such as DNS, DHCP, and email services to ISPs across the USA.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Server Configuration and Maintenance: Work independently and with others to configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate professionally with partners and end-users via video conference, email, and verbally to resolve issues and provide technical support.
  • System Design and Development: Collaborate with Server Administrators, developers, and engineers to design, build, and maintain systems and applications that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Issue Resolution and Escalation: Resolve escalations and service tickets from internal and external parties in a timely and professional manner.
  • Alarm Monitoring and Response: Respond to and monitor alarms from monitoring systems to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Data and Client Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot data and client issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • On-Call Support: Be available for on-call support rotation to provide technical support during unplanned outages.
Requirements
  • Work Experience: 3 years' work experience in roles primarily serving as a Linux server administrator.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with RedHat, CentOS, Alma Linux, or derivative; Dell PowerEdge servers; Apache; ProFTPd or similar FTP servers; FreeRADIUS or similar RADIUS server; ISC BIND or other DNS server software; ISC DHCP or KEA DHCP server; Postfix; Cyrus-IMAP; MySQL, MariaDB, or similar relational database; VMware, Proxmox, or similar hypervisor.
  • Soft Skills: Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; passionate about new and existing technologies; ability to work on complex projects that require considerable judgment and initiative.
