As an Adult Probation Supervisor, you will engage in essential oversight responsibilities.
Your role will encompass supervising adult probationers, conducting thorough case reviews and investigations, and preparing comprehensive pre- and post-sentence reports. You will also be responsible for formulating and executing tailored supervision plans and recommendations.
It is imperative that all activities align with established policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities1. Monitor and enforce the Conditions of Community Supervision, ensuring timely escalation of any violations.
2. Conduct home and employment visits for high-risk probationers, maintaining safety and compliance with traffic laws while operating a vehicle.
3. Audit and maintain accurate case files to meet compliance standards and funding requirements, documenting daily activities meticulously.
4. Secure and manage confidential records for urine samples, adhering to judicial directives.
5. Collaborate with internal teams, community resources, and external agencies to develop informed supervision plans and identify rehabilitative services.
6. Foster professional relationships with probationers, CSCD staff, judicial personnel, and the public.
7. Address compliance concerns and escalate issues to management as necessary.
8. Make informed decisions during emergencies or potentially hazardous situations.
9. Perform courtroom duties and other assigned tasks as required.
Qualifications
Education equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Completion of department-sponsored Field Safety Training is necessary. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in community supervision laws and possess the ability to effectively manage adult probationers.
Proficiency in client management systems and familiarity with MS Office applications is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for success in this role. A valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory, along with the ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
This position requires physical stamina, including prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift materials up to 15 lbs. Self-defense skills may also be necessary.
