Advanced Practice Provider: Integrative Medicine Specialist

We are seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team as an Integrative Medicine Clinician. This role will provide comprehensive care to oncology and hematology patients, incorporating evidence-based integrative medicine therapies to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients' basic health needs, address treatment toxicities, and perform integrative medicine procedures (e.g., acupressure, medical auricular acupuncture)
- Collaborate with the oncology treatment team to coordinate care and provide education to patients, family, and caregivers about disease processes, treatments, and management of treatment toxicities from an integrative medicine perspective
- Participate in patient rounds, conferences, and committees, and actively participate in the development and maintenance of Integrative Medicine-related EHR functionality
- Perform procedures according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice, and document patient care data in accordance with Fred Hutch and UWP policies
- Training in a formal integrative medicine program and at least one year of experience in the use of integrative medicine therapies in the oncology setting
- Working knowledge of basic oncology principles and practice, excellent communication skills, and respectful and ethical interactions with staff, patients, and their family/caregivers
- Skilled in evidence-based diagnosis and management of integrative medicine therapies related to cancer symptoms and side effects of treatment, and advanced disease issues
- Training in mind-body medicine therapies, medical acupuncture, and/or auricular acupuncture
- Experience in program development, education, and teaching, and comfortable speaking publicly (peers and patients)
