A successful candidate will lead an engineering team engaged in various project initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enhance the technical capabilities of team members within the engineering function.
  • Provide constructive feedback to facilitate team member development.
  • Accountable for the technical and design management of both current and new products, utilizing appropriate engineering and design methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other engineering managers and organizational functions to achieve departmental and company objectives.
  • Maintain current knowledge in all relevant areas through continuous engagement and education.
  • Establish standards and processes to enhance team performance and effectiveness.
  • Ultimately responsible for delivering engineering capabilities that meet product design requirements.
  • Guide team members in managing electrical, firmware, and software projects and activities.
  • Contribute to the creation of product requirements, risk assessments, and other essential project documentation.
  • Develop procedures to ensure efficient product development, testing, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure product quality through the design of effective testing methodologies.
  • Analyze problems and propose viable solutions.
  • Draft engineering specifications to clarify design details and functional criteria.
  • Provide project cost and time estimates.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software effectively.
  • Maintain product databases through programming and data entry.
  • Identify opportunities and lead relevant projects.
  • Coordinate efforts with customers, suppliers, or external contractors.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks across multiple areas.
  • Mentor engineering group members in their areas of expertise.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Electronics, Engineering Management, Electronics Engineering, FDA, ISO, Medical Device, NPD, New Product Development.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in electronics or electrical engineering within a research and development environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably Oracle or PLM Agile.
  • Understanding of FDA and ISO regulations.
