This role will be a key member of our centralized IT team, responsible for supporting the Feinberg School of Medicine's infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our Linux-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic planning and budgeting recommendations for infrastructure solutions
  • Maintain growth statistics, space forecasts, backup systems, and infrastructure inventories
  • Perform data backups and recoveries, and monitor system licensing and maintenance agreements
  • Develop and implement infrastructure upgrades, including planning, testing, and coordination
  • Supervise and coordinate with other teams to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux systems administration, with a focus on Red Hat and Ubuntu
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, and other common environments
  • Experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and other automation tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
