Seasonal Lab Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Seasonal Lab Technician to join our team at RiceTec, Inc. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tasks, including sample preparation, quality control, and equipment operation.

• Sample Preparation: Prepare and process samples for further grain quality tests, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
• Quality Control: Monitor quality assurance parameters and take corrective action when required to maintain high-quality standards.
• Equipment Operation: Maintain and operate liquid handlers and automated lab equipment, troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
• Documentation: Accurately document sample flow and laboratory processes, ensuring clear and concise records.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field (preferred but not required).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Technical Skills: Ability to diagnose problems using various tools, including inquiries, observations, system schematics, and documentation.

The work environment is dynamic, with regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasional exposure to extreme heat, wet or humid conditions, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is moderate.
