EMT Paramedic

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Paramedic to join our team. As an EMT Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and services to our diverse patient population.

• Assist in the delivery of patient care and services under the direction of licensed nurses and providers.
• Perform EKGs and collect lab specimens as needed.
• Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient needs are met and record data as established by policy and procedure.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and quality of care.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of EMT-A, EMT-Paramedic program, or licensed Paramedic certification required.
• 6 months pre-hospital experience or 6 months hospital experience as an EMT or Paramedic required.
• Current licensure as a Paramedic in the state of Texas required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certifications required within 3 months of hire.
