Job Title: Manufacturing/Production/Mechanical Technician

The Fountain Group is seeking a skilled Manufacturing/Production/Mechanical Technician to join our team in Granville, OH.

Job Summary:

This is a 12-month contract position that requires a strong background in manufacturing, production, and mechanical skills. The successful candidate will work in a research lab that supports stable operations, productivity, and growth projects across the network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong expertise in glass and raw material sample-preparation and testing, including equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Glass S&T Team and COE groups to support their projects, which may include activities such as glass melting and testing of various raw materials.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure lab requests are complete in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) deployment throughout the lab spaces.
  • Prepare samples for various analyses, working with various glass and raw material samples for the Composites and Insulation businesses.
  • Perform physical property testing on a variety of materials, including glass and refractory brick testing.
Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Experience with raw material splitting and grinding, particle size sieving, and mechanical skills
