Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Flight Test Operations team at Joby Aviation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our flight test program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with flight test, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure flight test aircraft are configured correctly and meet the required specifications.
- Develop and implement engineering solutions to resolve issues identified during flight test, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Work closely with program managers, engineering SMEs, manufacturing, flight test, aircraft maintenance, quality, and safety teams to resolve engineering issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of aircraft configuration and status, ensuring alignment with required specifications.
- Contribute to the development of engineering lessons learned and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement of our flight test operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience in flight test, aircraft development programs, and maintenance operations.
- Demonstrated expert-level skill in technical communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on afternoon, evening shifts, and from multiple sites, including remote locations.
- Demonstrated leadership of complex engineering projects and self-directed problem-solving skills.
