Relationship Banker

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Relationship Banker to join our team at M&T Bank in Edgewood, Maryland. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, identifying sales opportunities, and growing our business through proactive outreach and referrals.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying their financial needs and presenting tailored solutions to meet their goals.
• Proactively reach out to clients to educate them on value-added products and services, and to follow up on their needs and concerns.
• Onboard new customers through customer outreach, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.
• Establish trust with existing clients through regular proactive outreach and communication.
• Perform customer servicing interactions, including sales, service, and referrals, to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 2 years proven retail sales, call center, customer service, and/or telesales experience.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service.
• Well-organized individual with time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated financial services product knowledge, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work in an open face-to-face work environment, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.

• Associates degree or higher.
• Notary public license.
• Bilingual based on branch needs.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Prolonged use of hands and fingers.
• Ability to lift light to heavy objects weighing 5 lbs. to 30lbs.
• Ability to read fine print.
• Ability to interact with customers in an open face-to-face work environment.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $34.05 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
