Relationship Banker

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Relationship Banker to join our team at M&T Bank in Edgewood, MD. As a Relationship Banker, you will play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, providing them with exceptional service and sales solutions to meet their financial needs.

• Customer Relationship Management: Identify customers' needs through proactive sales solutions and referrals to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Sales Process: Profile and assess customer needs, develop sales strategies, and present financial solutions to meet their goals.
• Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal controls to prevent fraud and maintain a secure banking environment.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of retail sales, customer service, or telesales experience.
• Skills: Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, with the ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service and financial services product knowledge.
• Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree, notary public license, and bilingual skills based on branch needs.

• Ability to: Stand for long periods, use hands and fingers for prolonged periods, lift light to heavy objects (5-30 lbs), read fine print, and interact with customers in an open face-to-face work environment.
