Ciena Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Staff Development Coordinator RN. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and providing educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver educational programs on all shifts and for all departments to promote excellence in patient care.
- Participate in the staff evaluation process by providing attendance records and observation of employee performance.
- Provide general facility orientation to all new employees and ongoing in-service education.
- Plan and provide a monthly and annual schedule of planned education programs.
- Ensure Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)/State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) meet the annual 12-hour in-service requirement.
- Actively participate in quality assurance and report concerns to supervisor.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in long-term care setting preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
- CPR certification.
