Job Title: Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects from planning to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all construction activities related to assigned projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate and manage all on-site operations, including the coordination of subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure safety on the job site and compliance with all safety requirements, including conducting regular safety meetings.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues on job site, ensuring all work is installed in a workmanlike manner, and ensuring quality control.
  • Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and subcontractors to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Review and become familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensure adherence to these.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and maintain construction documents and project logs.
  • Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role, preferably in the commercial construction industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, construction tools and equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a construction team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with team members, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
