Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee preventative maintenance (PM) on conveyor systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on Fire Suppression Systems.
  • Carry out routine inspections on machinery and report necessary repairs to management.
  • Provide emergency maintenance support for sorting and conveyor systems.
  • Execute routine welding tasks on internal machinery and tables as required.
  • Assist senior maintenance technicians with advanced repairs as necessary.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes.
  • Gather estimates for supplies and repair parts, and process order requisitions.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels essential for equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Repair electrical devices and control circuits; replace defective electrical switches; service refrigeration units.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Perform outdoor maintenance tasks such as snow removal.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and policies.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists for building equipment, ensuring accurate record-keeping of scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Identify, document, and communicate maintenance requirements during assigned shifts to team leaders or management.
  • Evaluate and sign out various equipment as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and office area.

Qualifications

  • The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
  • High School Diploma or GED; or five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience or training in maintenance or warehousing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of hands-on experience in machine maintenance, specifically in conveyors, electrical systems, motor controls, plumbing, mechanical assemblies, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • While performing job duties, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and crouch; use hands for handling or feeling; and reach, talk, and hear.
