As the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area, we strive to deliver exceptional patient care.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary, estimated at $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a generous compensation package, our benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Job DescriptionThe PACU Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing the delivery of patient care during their shift, ensuring high-quality outcomes and effective communication with the Department Director and House Supervisor. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to assess supplies and equipment availability, ensure proper use, and maintain par levels.
Responsibilities- Provide direct communication with the Department Director and/or House Supervisor regarding unanticipated patient care events and/or risk management activities.
- Utilize nursing personnel effectively, assisting with required scheduling, staffing, and assignments.
- Supervise and evaluate staff, provide direction, and assist with performance evaluations and progressive discipline as necessary.
- Collaborate with other department managers/supervisors to ensure smooth coordination of services and efficient admission/discharge/transfer processes.
- Assess patient care delivery and quality of care/documentation on a consistent basis, directing staff members to make immediate changes as appropriate to ensure patient safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance.
- Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintenance.
- Previous supervisory experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably with one to two years of critical care or PACU experience.
- Certification in Critical Care (CCRN) or Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) within two years.
