At Dallas Regional Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in the area, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse Leader to join our team as a Charge Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Dallas Regional Medical Center is a 202-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission that offers a wide range of medical services, including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging. We are proud to be the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff in the PACU, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory guidelines, hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and clinical pathways. Key responsibilities include interviewing patients and families on admission and during rounds to enhance positive patient experiences, providing comprehensive orientation to the patient care unit, and increasing patient/family awareness on how to access services and/or the charge nurse if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS upon hire and maintain current
  • Current ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current
  • Current PALS upon hire and maintain current, preferred (Required for facilities performing peds OR)
  • Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital setting, preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of critical care, PACU experience, preferred in an acute care hospital setting
  • CNOR or CCRN within two (2) years, preferred
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred

Compensation and Benefits:
