**Job Summary**

Aegion is seeking a skilled Corrosion Technician II to join our team. As a Corrosion Technician II, you will be responsible for testing, evaluating, and installing cathodic protection systems to inhibit corrosion on various structures.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct various specific test procedures to gather data for evaluation purposes
  • Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements, and rectifier data
  • Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings
  • Assist senior staff in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports
  • Diagnose and recommend remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations
  • Recommend modifications as needed
  • Apply basic skills learned as Corrosion Tech I with increasing independence
  • Provide maintenance of field test equipment, ensure good operating condition, and render minor repairs

**Requirements**

  • NACE CP Tester (Level I) certification preferred
  • OSHA classes preferred
  • 3 years cathodic protection system testing and troubleshooting experience required
  • Strong team, internal customer service skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to travel overnight to customer sites each week and, if needed, over the weekend
