Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Privacy and Information Security Attorney to join our Corporate Law Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advising on enterprise programs related to privacy, information security, risk, and compliance.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in privacy and information security laws and regulations, as well as experience working with risk and compliance programs. You will be responsible for providing legal advice on federal and state privacy and information security requirements, enterprise risk management, and the compliance and ethics program.

Located in Bloomington, IL, this position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend significant time in the office.

Responsibilities
  • Advise on enterprise programs related to privacy, information security, risk, and compliance
  • Provide legal advice on federal and state privacy and information security requirements
  • Collaborate with business leaders throughout the enterprise to ensure compliance with privacy and information security regulations
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats to the company
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in privacy and information security laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in at least one state and be a member in good standing of the bar
  • 5+ years of experience with privacy and/or information security laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with risk and/or compliance programs
  • Demonstrated adaptability, learning agility, and the ability to excel in a collaborative environment
