Neurophysiology Specialist

Healthier Mississippi People LLC is seeking a highly skilled Neurophysiology Tech II to join our team. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will be responsible for recording electrical activity from the brain, central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems using advanced techniques such as electroencephalography, nerve condition studies, and somatosensory evoked potentials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, explaining testing procedures and preparing them for testing.
• Obtain and record patient medical history, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
• Elicit and record electrical potentials, interpreting responses for review by a neurologist.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
• Perform long-term EEG/video monitoring, transcribing digital EEG data as required.
• Train and mentor junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Neurodiagnostics (EEG/EMG) or a related field.
• Registration with the American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (ABRET) or equivalent.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

This role requires occasional exposure to unpleasant physical environments, including high noise levels and exposure to heat and cold. You will also be working with potentially hazardous equipment and materials, requiring attention to safety protocols and procedures.
