About the Role
Individuals in this position are responsible for supporting 100% uptime for the Data Center and its customers.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Develop and implement robust processes and procedures to ensure seamless data center operations.
- Documentation is Key: Create and review detailed Method of Procedures (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all critical functions.
- Customer-Centric Solutions: Ensure the timely and accurate implementation of solutions for customer applications, including space, power, and network requirements.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical support to customers during integration and implementation phases, ensuring a smooth transition to DataBank's solutions.
- Facility Management: Oversee all technical aspects of facility operations, including power distribution systems, HVAC infrastructure, and environmental controls.
- Performance Monitoring: Generate monthly reports and metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data center uptime, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in facility operations and management within the data center industry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong understanding of general industry networking technologies such as UPS systems, generators, and mechanical infrastructure.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; equivalent training, education, and experience will be considered.
- Data center industry experience is highly desirable.
- Proven supervisory and leadership skills are essential for this role.
- Familiarity with various field concepts, practices, codes, standards, and procedures, including environmental and safety regulations, ISO 9000 quality assurance standards, ISO 14000 environmental standards, and OHSAS 18000 health and safety standards.
