Outreach Admissions Counselor

Position: Outreach Admissions Counselor

We are looking for a dedicated Outreach Admissions Counselor to facilitate the recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes for youth in the Job Corps Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the outreach admissions contractual goals are achieved during the evaluation period, maintaining individual ratings at or above 100%.
• Implement corrective action plans for any measures falling below the 100% threshold.
• Actively participate in monthly meetings and committees, contributing to center functions and activities.
• Collaborate closely with Center Staff on outreach initiatives and center operations.
• Assess, verify, and document applicant eligibility in strict compliance with program guidelines.
• Support all center measures related to outreach and ensure effective student retention.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive information to students prior to their arrival, acting as a mentor to ensure their progress and success.
• Model appropriate behaviors and monitor student conduct through effective interventions.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or a closely related field is required. Alternatively, an Associate's degree in a related field with two years of relevant experience will be considered. A minimum of one year of experience in workforce development, marketing, or a related field is also necessary.

The candidate must hold a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
