Position: Outreach Admissions Counselor
We are in search of a dedicated outreach admissions counselor to facilitate the recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes for youth participating in the Job Corps Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the outreach admissions contractual goals are achieved during the evaluation period, maintaining individual performance ratings at or above 100%.
- Implement corrective action plans for any metrics falling below the 100% threshold.
- Actively participate in organizational meetings and ensure compliance with the monthly outreach admissions report card.
- Collaborate closely with center staff on outreach initiatives and center activities.
- Thoroughly assess, verify, and document applicant eligibility in strict adherence to program guidelines.
- Support all center measures related to outreach admissions and contribute to the center's capacity and student retention efforts.
- Maintain integrity and compliance with program requirements to meet the standards set by relevant oversight authorities.
- Ensure that students receive accurate and comprehensive information about the center prior to their arrival, acting as a mentor to support their progress.
- Model appropriate behaviors, mentor students, and monitor both positive and negative behaviors through effective interventions.
Additional Duties: Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social sciences, business, communications, or a closely related field; or an Associate's degree in a similar field with two years of relevant experience.
- At least one year of experience in workforce development, marketing, or a related placement field.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
