Position Overview

Kenworth is seeking a detail-oriented individual passionate about data analysis and forecasting, utilizing Warranty, Remote Diagnostics, Service Management, and Field Service data. This role is pivotal in supporting warranty operations, focusing on cost analysis, warranty reduction, and performance enhancement. Your contributions will be vital in empowering Kenworth leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the warranty subject matter expert (SME) for collaboration with Field Service, Sales, Pricing, Marketing, Accounting, Fleets, and senior management.
  • Develop and maintain warranty analysis queries, tables, macros, and database processes to ensure data accessibility for team members.
  • Create forecasting models to estimate future warranty expenditures for the division.
  • Support data analysis for predicting warranty costs based on product enhancements and coverage policies.
  • Provide analytical support for warranty and policy assessments to the Warranty, Field Service, and Pricing/Sales teams.
  • Generate ad-hoc queries to fulfill warranty analysis requests from various stakeholders.
  • Produce standardized reports highlighting trends, ongoing improvements, and insights from Engineering, Field Service, and Sales.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across PACCAR to develop innovative analytics solutions, identify new data sources for analytics projects, and promote best practices in analytics.
  • Engage with the Warranty team, Engineering, Connected Truck, and Field Service to support fleet initiatives and address warranty challenges and high-value claims.
  • Create data visualizations and insights for bi-monthly warranty reviews with executive leadership using diverse databases and data sources.
  • Travel as necessary (less than 10%).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in information systems, computer science, finance, business administration, or a related field is required; an MBA is a plus.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of managing multiple objectives and delivering high-quality results.
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience is required.
  • Proficient in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and MS Word; cloud database experience is preferred.
  • Strong SQL skills are essential.
  • Experience with Tableau or Python is desirable.
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be self-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned projects and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable communicating with all organizational levels.
