Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Aftersales Engineering team at Kenworth Division of PACCAR. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing heavy-duty trucks to improve field reliability and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the design of heavy-duty trucks, focusing on improving field reliability and quality.
- Analyze and troubleshoot field failures to identify root causes of symptoms in vehicle systems.
- Perform design and development of assigned elements, including hoods, fittings, chassis, suspension, engine, and after-treatment systems.
- Provide interface documentation to wiring design, system architect(s), and mechanical design groups.
- Contribute to the development of procedures and practices that ensure quality and reliable systems.
- Integrate components, features, and requirements into Kenworth/PACCAR vehicles.
- Manage engineering and project management processes to maintain schedule, budget, and functionality.
- Track and report on progress toward warranty and downtime reduction goals.
- Plan and track validation testing of components.
- Support solution launches at vehicle assembly plants.
- Experience in using data to identify priorities and drive to meet and exceed department and division goals.
- Ability to integrate components, features, and requirements into Kenworth/PACCAR vehicles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
