Job Summary:

The Mount Vernon Township High School District 201 is seeking a qualified substitute school nurse to provide medical care and support to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience working with students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide medical care and support to students, including administering medications and conducting medical reviews.

Assess and manage student illnesses and injuries, including those with severe and profound disabilities.

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to provide a supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

RN license with a BA in nursing or education.

Illinois Professional Educator License in school nursing or authorization to complete medical reviews.

Vision and hearing screening certification, as well as current first aid, CPR, and AED training.
