Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • First Aid Certification
  • Substance Abuse, Elder Abuse/Adult Protective Services Training
  • Infection Control and Prevention
  • Defensive Driving, ADAPTS Securement Training
  • Good knowledge of body mechanics
  • 2 years of customer service experience or driving experience
  • Valid state-issued driver's license for a minimum of 2 years prior to application
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply technical material
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact with senior and/or disabled clients in a professional and courteous manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training
  • SafeTalk Suicide Awareness and Prevention training
  • Cognitive Stimulation Training (CST)
  • Community Health Worker (CHW) training
  • Senior Peer Counseling or Grief/Bereavement training
  • Chronic Disease Self-Management
  • Professional driving experience
  • Customer service experience with senior populations
  • Knowledgeable in vehicle safety and maintenance
  • Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
