Job Summary

Arrow Staffing is seeking a skilled Clamshell Die Cutter Operator to work in a fast-paced print shop environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating die cutting machines and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate die cutting machines to produce high-quality products while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Inspect dies before and after running to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Produce make-ready to job requirements with minimal supervision and work with the lead for approval.
  • Understand and perform preventive maintenance on the machine to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work with the folder/gluer lead to confirm foldability of folders, cartons, and other products.
  • Spot-check throughout the production run to ensure no changes or deviations from approved samples or quality occur.
  • Set up die cutters in accordance with proper setup techniques and ensure all bolts on cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.
  • Monitor box quality, including but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and proper scoring.
  • Maximize equipment utilization by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  • Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including production data, machine operational status, safety data, and quality data.
  • Adhere to production schedule and make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in die cutting machine operation.
  • Dependable and willing to work, including overtime if required.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Self-starter and team player with the ability to manage consumables and maintain organization of dies.
