Job Description

Job Summary: As a manufacturing operations specialist, you will collaborate with plant supervisors to support the execution of various maintenance and project tasks. Your main duties will encompass engaging in physical activities such as lifting, transporting, and utilizing hand and power tools. Additionally, you will ensure a tidy and secure work environment by adhering to all safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct physical labor tasks including digging, lifting, transporting, and handling materials.
  2. Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
  3. Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment from transportation vehicles.
  4. Keep a clean and organized workspace, including the removal of debris and waste.
  5. Comply with all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  6. Effectively communicate with supervisors and colleagues.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or plant managers.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Prior experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  3. Capability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
  4. Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
  5. Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  6. Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
  7. Good communication abilities.
  8. Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

Physical Demands:

  1. Capacity to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds or more).
  2. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended durations.
  3. Ability to work in diverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
