Position Overview:
The Logistics Associate I is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Efficiently loads and unloads delivery vehicles.
2. Confirms the accuracy of shipments received against purchase orders.
3. Transfers materials and items from receiving zones to designated storage locations.

4. Organizes and categorizes materials or items on shelves, racks, or bins based on established criteria such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

5. Manages the storage of perishable items in temperature-controlled areas.
6. Processes requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items and ensures proper distribution.
7. Labels materials with appropriate identification.
8. Opens various types of containers including bales and crates.
9. Maintains accurate records of materials or items received or distributed.
10. May operate a forklift as required.
11. Assists in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and other assigned areas.
12. Performs additional tasks as needed.

Supervisory Role:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:


A high school diploma or equivalent (GED); or six months of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience that meets these requirements.


Experience:
No prior experience is necessary.

Technical Skills:
No specific computer skills are required.

Certifications:


Possession of a valid driver's license may be required, with a driving history that meets the Cherokee Nation's underwriting standards.


Additional Requirements:


The employee must not be under any sanctions from the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or the General Services Administration (GSA) and must not be listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers.

Forklift operation and maintenance of certification may be required throughout employment.

Physical Requirements:


While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls.
The employee frequently stands, walks, reaches with hands and arms, and communicates verbally.
Occasionally, the employee may sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be able to lift and/or move items exceeding 100 pounds.

Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and may work near moving mechanical parts.
Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and electrical hazards may occur.
The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
