Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Specimen Collector to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting and processing medical specimens for testing and analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Collect specimens from patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and physician offices.
  • Administer oral solutions and medications as required.
  • Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
  • Process specimens for testing, including labeling, centrifuging, and preparing for transport.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory management, supply ordering, and data entry.
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training or certification preferred.
