Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our team at Westminster Public Schools. As a member of our special education department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality educational services to preschool-age children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with students' needs and abilities.
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and therapy rooms.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student learning and independence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Colorado teaching license with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with preschool-age children with special needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
