Overview

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $62,400.00 and $70,720.00 per year.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for providing on-site supervision and direction to the Patient Registration Specialist team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of supervisory experience and revenue cycle management experience, with a focus on promoting an excellent patient experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and overseeing the training schedule of new Patient Registration personnel
  • Maintaining the schedule/staffing levels appropriately
  • Developing and implementing best practices, evaluating current processes, and providing recommendations for improvements
  • Communicating regularly with the Office Administrator to ensure all issues/concerns are communicated in a timely manner
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical insurances to ensure accuracy in verifying and entering billing information

The successful candidate will be proficient in NextGen and Phreesia, with a strong understanding of electronic health records (EHR) implementation. They will also possess basic bookkeeping knowledge and experience generating and analyzing financial reports.

In addition, the Patient Access Director will be expected to maintain a positive working environment, ensuring all staff members function as a team, and create a culture that prioritizes customer service.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 5-8 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
  • Revenue cycle management experience, preferably with EHR implementation
  • A college degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Proficiency in NextGen and Phreesia
  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge and experience generating and analyzing financial reports
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff and providers
