Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on location, experience, skills, and knowledge.

Job Description

The Patient Access Coordinator serves as a critical link between patients and the Care Center, making a significant impact on patient experience. This vital role ensures that patients have a positive, organized, and efficient entry into CCRM Fertility.

This includes greeting and registering patients, answering phones, collecting patient information, insurance details, completing medical record requests, and providing front office administrative support for the office.

The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Greeting and welcoming patients upon their arrival, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Scanning insurance cards, picture identification, and prior medical records.
  • Processing co-pays, procedure pre-payments, and past due balances prior to scheduled service being rendered.
  • Scheduling or rescheduling patient appointments, identifying no-shows, and promptly communicating schedule changes.
  • Monitoring the correspondence dashboard in Athena (return mail).
  • Completing eligibility work queues; identifying incorrect insurance on file or clearing Progyny inaccurate eligibility status.
  • Protecting confidential information and patient medical records.
  • Answering phone calls, taking messages, and forwarding based on urgency.
  • Contacting patients missing new patient paperwork two days prior to their appointment.
  • Mailing patient information and education materials.
  • Monitoring faxes and distributing to appropriate staff/departments.
  • Maintaining lobby appearance, opening the Care Center, and turning on equipment prior to opening.
  • Ensuring the building is locked and secured at close of business.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year administrative experience required.
  • Previous experience in reproductive medicine or women's health is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Athena preferred.
  • The ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays on a rotating basis.
