Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deli Manager Trainee to join our team at Hannaford. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our deli department, including supervising store associates, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train store associates to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving products, to meet sales and customer demand
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless store operations and achieve business objectives
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to store associates to improve performance and achieve goals
  • Maintain accurate records of production, shrink, sales, and inventory to inform business decisions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail management or a related field
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a deli or food service environment
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety
