Compensation Range: $34.35 - $47.50 per hour, with an additional $1.25 per hour for night shift differential.
Shift Details: B-shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, following a 4 x 10 shift schedule.
Essential Qualifications:
Experience in coordinating the transportation of materials and engaging consistently with suppliers regarding material management.
Proficiency in SAP.
Ability to sequence parts effectively.
Role Overview:
This position is critical in ensuring the timely availability of the correct components in the appropriate quantities and software levels to support production objectives and material supply targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic data processing and manage parameters within the Material Control System.
- Oversee part availability for ongoing production, manage part transitions, and process technical and software updates to minimize obsolescence costs.
- Monitor internal supply chain activities affecting part availability across various departments including Procurement, Engineering, Assembly, and Logistics.
- Maintain and evaluate monthly supplier ratings and annual Supplier Management Information System (SUMIS) data, initiating corrective actions with suppliers as needed.
- Facilitate training for new employees.
- Manage inventory levels by accurately planning the required quantities of parts while optimizing stock levels.
- Analyze multiple data sources (GPS/TAIS/SAP) to ensure data accuracy.
- Provide management with timely updates on E/E issues, adhering to escalation protocols.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain material supply for production.
- Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Physical Logistics, Assembly, and Manufacturing to implement new software levels.
- Guarantee the availability of materials for future needs at the correct software levels.
- Coordinate transportation logistics with freight companies to ensure timely material pickup and delivery.
- Review inventory levels on the production floor and in storage, making necessary adjustments to ensure accurate releases.
- Coordinate with all departments and vendors during design changes and software updates to provide precise data and avoid excess or shortages.
- Generate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports, supplier releases, and delivery schedules to confirm material availability.
- Manage flash campaigns in collaboration with Assembly, Engineering, and Logistics.
- Identify flash locations and manage transportation mode changes.
- Oversee hardware modifications within the E/E team.
- Report to management on current conditions, cost savings, obsolescence, and other E/E matters.
- Implement process enhancements and cost-saving measures.
- Participate as a core member in E/E coordination meetings.
- Facilitate I-Stufen implementation meetings for series and flash campaigns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education: A BA/BS degree in Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, or equivalent professional experience in Material Planning, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Material Planning, with advanced knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Office, SAP, and TAIS (preferred).
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, with advanced proficiency in German or Spanish being a plus.
Demonstrated leadership abilities are required.
