Job Title: Environmental Senior Project Manager

Job Summary:

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced Environmental Senior Project Manager to lead our Environmental group in New York State. This individual will manage, direct, and supervise the work efforts of assigned staff and coordinate the technical and managerial direction provided by Management regarding scope, schedule, quality, and budget of projects. Responsible for monitoring and assisting in achieving department, division, and corporate financial measures. Senior Project Managers are responsible for the overall management of large-scale, complex projects and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope development, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Lead and manage project teams, including staff supervision and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing proper business conduct.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop strategies to reduce liability.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Provide constructive feedback for employee development.
  • Enforce and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Exemplify and promote professionalism.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science (or related field) from an accredited higher education institute.
  • 10+ years of professional experience leading projects and facilitating teams within the Environmental Engineering field.
  • Prior experience as a Project Manager in the Consulting field preferred.
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred.
  • 8-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Supervisor Certification helpful.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Safety & Health Standards for Construction preferred.
  • Willingness to undertake training as necessary to fill environmental needs.
  • Technical writing skills required through previous experience working with state agencies.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
