Key Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a team of 8-10 team members in the Die Shop, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training team members.
  • Oversee all die shop accountabilities, including tooling readiness, quoting, and ordering.
  • Develop and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Communicate with die vendors to track deliveries, die trials, and provide feedback on die corrections.
  • Track and report On-Time die deliveries and first-time die trial success.
  • Manage die cleaning processes, including safety, throughput, quality, and scheduling of necessary materials.
  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
  • Lead team development through effective selection, orientation, training, and development processes.
  • Develop capital justifications to improve quality, cost, and efficiency of die shop functions.
  • Cross-train, learn, and support other functions or processes as required.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of Tool and Die experience.
  • At least 3 years working as a Tool and Die Manager.
  • Steel toe shoes required.
