Staffing Science is seeking a seasoned DevOps Manager to lead our team of DevOps Engineers in designing and implementing modern DevOps solutions.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in Azure, Ansible, or Terraform, and infrastructure as code to drive the CI/CD pipeline, manage both on-prem and cloud environments, and collaborate with our software engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical direction.
  • Stay hands-on by contributing to infrastructure architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of development and operations.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and infrastructure changes.
  • Oversee and manage both on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring efficient and scalable operations.
  • Utilize tools such as Azure, Ansible, and Terraform to automate infrastructure and streamline processes.
  • Ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) practices are followed and continually improved.
  • Collaborate with vendors, ensuring delivery and accountability in line with agreed terms and objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Advocate for best practices in DevOps, security, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Manager, or a related leadership role, managing teams of devops/sre or related engineers.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including management, monitoring, and automation.
  • Proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
  • In-depth experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization, virtualization, and orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members while staying hands-on with technical challenges.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools, such as Prometheus or Grafana.
  • Certifications in Azure or other relevant cloud platforms.
  • Can do attitude, passion for building and developing people while staying close to technology.
