About the position:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cardiology division as we introduce groundbreaking products to the Electrophysiology (EP) sector - one of the most rapidly expanding fields in medical technology. Boston Scientific offers a comprehensive range of products and therapies designed to manage patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib), including Cryo, Radiofrequency, and our innovative Pulsed Field ablation therapy, FARAPULSE. Our current offerings include advanced 3D Mapping and Navigation systems, Radiofrequency Ablation catheters, Diagnostic Catheters, EP recording systems, and Intracardiac Access Sheaths for diagnosing and treating cardiac rhythm disorders.

The EP Mapping Consultant will dedicate their initial year to mastering Boston Scientific technologies while undergoing extensive professional development to ensure readiness for success in this dynamic, field-based role. Upon completion of training, the EP Mapping Consultant will deliver expert clinical product and technical support and training to physicians, EP Lab Staff, and sales representatives on the effective and safe application of the Rhythmia Mapping System during case procedures within a designated territory, aiming to meet and surpass business objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining advanced clinical knowledge of EP diagnostic and ablation technologies, EP mapping and recording systems, transeptal access technologies, and left atrial appendage occlusion technologies.
  • Participating in procedures within cardiac CV/EP labs of hospital accounts for clinical support and development efforts of BSC AF Solutions products, including the Rhythmia HDx mapping system, LabSystem Pro recording system, transeptal access products, diagnostic and therapeutic catheters, and WATCHMAN LAAC technologies.
  • Educating clients on the advantages and proper clinical application of AF Solutions products by creating and delivering presentations and demonstrations using various formats and platforms (e.g., slides, manuals) to keep all clients informed about the latest product, therapy, and technology advancements and current industry topics.
  • Engaging with existing and prospective clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling to identify their clinical needs, objectives, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can assist them in achieving their goals.
  • Building relationships with hospital personnel at all levels, including staff, physicians, and administrators, to create new contacts in other departments and identify key decision-makers to facilitate future sales.
  • Addressing customer needs and concerns regarding products and services by developing innovative and feasible solutions or collaborating with related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to create optimal solutions.
  • Exhibiting effective change leadership and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance the area/organization by leveraging relationships with peers, management, and across the AF Solutions organization (Marketing, Training, and Strategic Planning).
  • Implementing and monitoring strategies outlined in the quarterly action plan for the area.
  • Coordinating territory and other BSC sales management and representatives' efforts to build strategic partnerships that will further area and organizational objectives.
  • Developing relationships with key referring physicians, external fellows, NEPIs, and other influential physicians to promote market development and growth.
  • Training on and maintaining knowledge of clinical trial protocols, Clinical Department standard operating procedures, and compliance with regulations from global regulatory bodies to meet corporate and departmental objectives.
  • Managing clinical trial activities within the assigned territory, including completing Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
  • Educating clinical investigators on clinical trial protocols, clinical processes, and investigational products and features.
What we seek in you:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with 3D cardiac mapping systems or at least 10 years in medical device sales, clinical electrophysiology, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and the ability to articulate and explain complex technical product information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NASPE/IBHRE CEPS certification.
  • Experience in Atrial Fibrillation/Cardiac Mapping/Structural Heart Procedures.
  • Prior use of 3D cardiac mapping systems.
  • MS or advanced degree in business or healthcare.
